Metal Free Dentistry

The use of metal free materials is on the rise. Besides their aesthetic advantage, one of their best characteristics is that they do not cause any allergic reaction as they are absolutely bio-inert.

Zirconium-oxide has served as the substitute of artificial (hip and knee) joints in the medical sector for over 20 years. As opposed to widely-used materials, such as BelleGlass, Empress, Al-oxid, which are suitable only for small-scale tooth replacements, the new composite is perfect not only for single but for long span dental bridgework as well.

Due to its good bending, compressive and tensile strength, bridges made with this technology are very stabile and very flexible. There is no more need for any metal in the oral cavity.

High precision is another very important quality: the zirconium-oxid body is made with a special laser machine with CAD-CAM technology.

Aesthetically, the colour can be adjusted to that of the teeth providing an absolutely natural look.
